Gun Fired At Dealership During Co-Worker Argument
A very tense situation took place at a Chevy dealership in West Virginia when two store employees got into an argument. The exchange became so heated that one of the men pulled out a firearm and pulled the trigger.
At approximately 8 a.m. on November 17, police responded to a 911 call of a gun being fired at a dealership in West Virginia. The gunshot allegedly arose out of an argument between two co-workers. Dealership employee Robert Erdie, 60, of Pleasant Valley, West Virginia was arrested in connection with a shooting incident at Anthony’s Chevrolet in Fairmont, West Virginia.
According to reports Erdie got into an argument with a co-worker at the Chevrolet store. In the heat of the exchange, Erdie reportedly pulled out a .45 pistol and fired it at the concrete floor of the service garage. No other details about the argument have been made available. Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident. Erdie is being charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm. Erdie was arrested at the scene taken into custody. He was arraigned in Marion county magistrate court and has been released on bond.
We at DrivingSales News are grateful that no one was hurt during this incident at Anthony’s Chevrolet. This is the second story that we’ve come across recently about dealership staff getting into an argument that either ended with violence or could have easily gone that way or worse. Our hope is that this type of incident does not occur in the future.
