Thieves Steal Cash, Checks From Dealership Using Electric Saw
A dealership in Utah released shocking video footage of robbers who took their time and an electric saw to steal from a store. In recently released surveillance video, thieves are shown trashing a dealership office, working their way to the safe. The robbers sawed into the large black safe using an electric saw, which they plugged in after breaking away the adjacent desk by jumping on it. The name of the dealership and amount of money taken from the store has yet to be released, as the store reportedly doesn’t want the public to know they were robbed.
Police who saw the footage believe the two robbers knew exactly what they were doing, as if they were familiar with the office and location of the safe. The burglars spent about 30 minutes inside of the dealership office creating a large mess and leaving with the stolen cash and checks. West Valley Utah Police Lieutenant Scott Bechanan told Fox 13 news, “I don`t think the average person would know to go into an office like that and go right to that spot with the right tools to cut open that safe. I think it`s likely they had some kind of knowledge; who knows how they came about that but all angles are being investigated.â€
On the scale of crimes against dealerships, where do you rank this robbery? The criminals appeared to be in no hurry to steal from the store, taking a half-hour and using a likely loud saw to cut into the safe. If this occurred at your dealership, would you tell the media the name of your store?
