Greg Miller Resigns As CEO Of Larry H. Miller Group

The CEO of one of the largest dealer groups in the country is stepping down. Greg Miller, the head of the Larry H. Miller Group is resigning. He is reportedly going to pursue personal interests in lieu of directing the group. The owner of the Larry H. Miller group is Gail Miller, who already has a plan. She is reportedly transitioning the organization to a new corporate structure, which is slated to include a new board of directors.

According to a press release, Gail Miller said, “Today is a significant day in the history of this company. The changes announced in the organizational structure of the group are a natural evolution of a large and growing enterprise. Larry’s dream was for our businesses to survive the two of us well into the future. This change will provide the structure for that to happen.”

The latest dealership rankings from the Automotive News have put the Larry H. Miller Group of dealerships at number 11 nationally. Their retail sales hit 56,182 units in 2014. That figure is according to their 2014 rankings, down one from the number 10 slot for 2013.

According to the outgoing Greg Miller, the timing is right for this change to occur.
