MotoMiner Teams Up With DealerRater
The integration of a car search engine and an established source for dealership ratings is about to take place. MotoMiner has announced a partnership with DealerRater. MotoMiner is a retail automotive search engine. Consumers enter basic information into their website in order to view dealership inventory. According to a press release, they have five million active vehicle listings for consumers to choose from. This partnership means their listings will integrate DealerRater reviews of the dealerships for which they are listing inventory.
Since MotoMiner works like a search engine for cars, they will add the DealerRater reviews to the search results. Currently there are dealership profile pages that give consumers the contact information for dealers as well as their inventory. Starting in April, those dealer profiles will included DealerRater reviews as well as ratings. According to a press release by Motominer, “Shoppers will be able to see overall dealer ratings for experience, service, friendliness, price and quality of work.” Those car shoppers will also be able to leave reviews using the DealerRater system right from the MotoMiner website. DealerRater reportedly performs a quality check on all reviews by via their “Content Integrity Team” before posting the reviews online.
Bill Christenson co-founder of MotoMiner spoke about this partnership in a press release. Part of his statement reads, “Car searching should be simple, comprehensive and transparent. Integrating DealerRater reviews into the MotoMiner search platform was an easy decision for us. DealerRater is the industry leader when it comes to car dealership reviews. The partnership will provide more transparency for our network of shoppers as they evaluate dealerships to do business with. This also helps dealers by gaining trust though positive ratings and reviews. It’s a win-win situation both for the shopper and the dealer.”

I’m really glad another car search site did this partnership with DealerRater. When search sites like Cars.com come up with their own home-baked dealer reviews system, it just adds one more place we have to get customers to submit good feedback. Makes reputation management so much more difficult.
