Subaru Dealer In Indiana Delivers Food To Needed

We’ve told you previously about dealers doing good for members of their community. Certainly some dealers do give to local food banks, while this Indiana dealer buckles up and takes food to those in need.

Bob Rohrman Subaru in Lafayette, Indiana has a direct approach to helping feed the need needy – they go out and do it. Dealership staff revved up stylish Subaru wagons full of food and headed out into their community to lend a hand. The team at Bob Rohrman Subaru is working with the local Meals-on-Wheels organization to deliver hot meals and household items to 130 clients in the their local area.

Ryan VanScoyoc, GM of the store told local news WLFI, “We get to get out into the community. We get to meet some people. We get to drive around with some of the volunteers. And just to see the smiles on the people’s faces when we give the gift bags, it’s just awesome.”

The charity efforts on the part of this Subaru store came after the official end of the Subaru “Share the Love” event. From Nov. 19 though Jan. 2, any customer who purchased a Subaru had a chance to have a $250 donated to a charity of their choice.

This Subaru store put the rubber to the road and went out to literally feed the needy. This charity effort seemed like a great opportunity to build unity on the team while helping others. What do you do at your store or group to reach out to your community while becoming stronger as a team?
