Dean Evans To Lead U.S. Marketing At Hyundai

Hyundai has hired Dean Evans as vice president and chief marketing officer. Evans was previously worked as the head of marketing for Subaru North America and as the CEO of Lotlinx. He will be responsible for all marketing and advertising for Hyundai in the United States. Evan’s new boss will be Dave Zuchowski, president and chief executive officer of Hyundai Motor America. Zuchowski is impressed with what Evans brings to the table.

In a press release, Zuchowski praised Evans saying, “Dean has a remarkable background, which will prove invaluable to Hyundai as our company moves forward in the ever-changing auto market. Dean’s proven results-driven approach; a positive, inspiring leadership style; and wide-ranging experience in dealerships, digital marketing and automakers, make him a most valuable addition to the Hyundai executive team.”

By the same token, Evans is optimistic about joining Hyundai. “I am excited to join the world-class Hyundai team,” Evans said in a press release. “Under Dave Zuchowski’s inspiring leadership, along with a terrific product line, I believe we are well-positioned to grow the Hyundai brand to new heights of awareness, dimension, emotion and clarity.”

Evans began his life in automotive as a car salesman at a Pontiac store in Boulder, Colorado He then grew into a dealership general manager at both Chrysler Land Rover stores. Evans also served as vice president of marketing at Dealix.com and vice president of marketing at Dealer.com. Evans will assume his new role on Aug. 30.
