DealerSocket Acquires DealerFire
DealerSocket has acquired DealerFire. The California-based company, which provides CRM solutions for dealerships, announced their acquisition earlier today. Jonathan Ord, the CEO of DealerSocket, spoke about the announcement in a press release.
Ord said, “DealerFire has demonstrated wonderful innovation and high-integrity service to many of our dealers for a long time. They know automotive, they are passionate in what they do for the industry.”
On the otherside of the acquisition, Eric Hoopman, the founder of DealerFire, sounded enthusiastic about this announcement. Hoopman said in a statement, “We could not be more excited to join forces with DealerSocket,” said Eric Hoopman, founder of DealerFire. “They have proven to be totally focused on their customers, and we think the same way. I am so excited for the future.”
That future for DealerSocket is beginning to take shape. As we reported back in May of 2013, DealerSocket is clearly growing. At the time, we had an exclusive interview with the company Co-Founder and CEO Jonathan Ord. During that interview, he announced a partnership with Vista Equity Partners. Ord called the move, “…A financing event to do some great things for our employees, to do great things for us personally, and really get back into the trenches.” One of those things DealerSocket has now done is to acquire DealerFire. Time will tell what else this company has planned for the future. Stay tuned to DrivingSales News for updates on this and other stories that matter to the Retail Automotive Industry.
