Man Pulls Gun At Dealership After Being Denied Loan
It’s a situation no dealership employee wants to face – a gun being pulled on you at work. At around 10 a.m. on Aug. 8 at Midwest Kia, in Wichita, Kansas, a man became dangerous after his credit didn’t qualify him for an auto loan. According to police, a 22-year-old man and 24-year-old woman came to the Kia store to make a vehicle purchase. The process progressed to the point of setting up financing, which is where things turned scary.
According to the Wichita Eagle, when the 22-year old man did not get approved for a vehicle, he became “very irate and upset,” and pulled out a handgun and pointed it at several dealership employees and reportedly began to verbally threaten them while holding the gun. Luckily for all involved the situation didn’t escalate from there as police were called after the man and woman voluntarily left the store. The couple was arrested for aggravated assault related to the incident and booked into the local jail.
