Google Announces Renaming Of Columns In AdWords

Google has announced upcoming changes to several of the Google Analytics reporting column names in AdWords to correspond with the actual names that are found in Google Analytics itself.

The three Google Analytics reporting columns that will be renamed starting on November 10 are as follows:

+ Pages / visit -> Pages / session

+ Avg. visit duration (seconds) -> Avg. session duration (seconds)

+ % new visits -> % new sessions

In a Google+ post, the company explained the reason for these changes. “If you use macros or scripts to process downloaded reports, please update them to reflect these changes,” wrote Google. “We hope these changes provide you with a more consistent experience across Google Analytics and AdWords.”
