Man Easily Robs Audi Dealership In Broad Daylight, Gets Away

An Audi store is looking for a thief who mysteriously walked into their store and walked out with keys to three vehicles worth over $200,000. The car thief seemed to know what he was doing.

At Bluegrass Audi in Louisville, Kentucky a thief came into the dealership and walked out with three sets of keys. No one stopped him and he wasn’t running around frantically. He walked into offices and seemed to know just where to look for car keys. The man, shown in surveillance video, strolled around the store during daylight hours when the offices were closed. The suspect took the keys to a 2013 Audi A8 and two 2015 A8 vehicles. Working with two accomplices, the vehicles were swiftly driven off the dealership lot, however, it happened without anyone noticing until the next morning.

The confusing part for dealership staff and local police is that the man walked calmly though the store, taking the keys. His movements weren’t random; he seemed to know where the keys would be. He turned out to be correct as he found the keys and left the dealership without three vehicles from their lot. One of those vehicles belonged to a customer who took it in for service. One of the stolen vehicles, the 2013 A8 was involved in an accident during a high-speed chase and sustained minor damage. The driver was arrested. Police are still looking for the Audi A8 thief and two 2014 Audi A8s.
